Fountain-pen collector and user; I make my own blank journals and have been keeping a journal (with some lapses) for over forty years. Retired from civil service; Linux desktop system and Palm Tungsten E--I've kept all my personal data on palmtop devices since about 1994, but may have to quit and revert to paper due to the current sad state of affairs with Palm devices.

Hobbies and Interests

Classical guitar (playing and listening); books, movies, birdwatching; formerly, and maybe again someday, cycling--accumulated 14,000 city miles cycle-commuting. Bookbinding.

Biography

Born and raised in Midwest USA; graduated University of Kansas; have not used my degree in French, however. Worked mainly civil service till early retirement in 1999.
