What is your perfect planning fantasy?

Imagine that you have just been offered a wish for the perfect planner to suit your every need and dream...

What would your perfect planning fantasy be?
How would you perfect planner work?

In my daydreams, my perfect planner would be an large A4 size book with fairy-made environmentally friendly paper that magically makes my handwriting look neat.

My perfect planner would open to the page I need at a voice command, remind me telepathically if I'm in danger of missing an appointment, update telepathically including translating my vaguest comments into goals and tasks, and magically shrink to the size of a charm so I could wear it on a charm bracelet. :)

Well...

If you want to go to extreme fantasy, and keep it family rated, I would have to say that a Perfect Planner would be a full time personal assistant.

I got it! Been thinking for a while.

My fantasy paper-based planner would grow and shrink as needed. It would blow up to wall size so I can easily enter data with my big, fat writing and shrink to reading size or clutch purse size if necessary.

(I don't have a clutch purse, but you never know.)

It would also have an alarm feature imbedded into the paper so I don't have to use my cell to remind me of appointments.

Perfect!

Looks like Katrina and I are on the same wave length. I think I can do without the telepathic reminders, though. One voice in my head is enough. lol

Thall are you a Star Trek fan?

Your fantasy looks like a perfectly reasonable item on the holodeck. :)

I am

Sometimes I wish I had a holodeck at home, especially when it's raining and my two boys are climbing the walls (literally).

No paper in my perfect planner fantasy

Nope! My perfect planner would be an artificial intelligence, with a secure link directly to my me, so that I could speak to it giving it a description of a task or appointment, or tell it to record a meeting I was in. And it of course, would use the same link to remind me of my schedule and next actions.

Although, to be perfect, it would have a feature I admit to stealing from a science fiction story. At my command, it could 'pop up' a virtual white board, to display and/or record written or drawn information.

C'mon - you can do better

If this thing has a telepathic link, it should be able to provide input to your optic nerve and give you something like a heads-up display. Best example I can think of at this second is the movie RoboCop

Ah... but a heads-up display

Ah... but a heads-up display for me would not be shareable... sorry not to have been clearer, but the 'virtual white board' was meant to share things from my 'super-planner' with others.

OK

That makes more sense.

Scary

all your ideas are...scary. A mind-meld with your planner??? I'd rather mine took voice commands, so I dont have to write. And of course, the planner would use neat writing for showing me what I got, in a variety of colors and shades.
Think of it this way: if you planner is linked to your brain, and there is a power surge that frys your planner...

Perfect would be

never having to plan -- just life flowing so smoothly that there is no need to plan anything -- and knowing exactly what to do next.

Pretty much it

Steve's Extreme Planner

My planner keeps gravitating toward the extreme. About the time my back and knees start to give up I prune it down. Then, as the weeks go by, the amount of stuff I _must_ carry around piles up. Right now I have an REI backpack-type bag for a purse and a book bag for my extra stuff. I also have some supplies in my Soul (made by Kia). Getting a Sony ereader helped with the books I feel like I need to tote around, but not as much as I'd hoped.

And yes, I even have a Tilly hat.

Steve's extreme planner is fun

The backup teddy bear is a very cute idea ;)

Very cute :)

Steve planner looks a lot like Lord of the Ring planning. :)
