Franklin Covey "compact" size??

What do you all do for templates for the 6-ring "standard" size planner, (Franklin Covey's Compact size)binder? I would like to create something and just be able to refill what I have, but I am not sure where to start. Any ideas? I just find it odd that this size isn't the standard size. It's just about the only size I see in most stores that sell planners. The size I have is 4 1/4 x 6 3/4. Thanks for your help!

You could use ...

the Dynamic Templates application.
It makes pages of any size.

compact is my size..

You can find some templates by clicking on the template tab in upper right corner and then clicking template directory. There are some under "other." Also, you can click on Official DIY Planner templates and find lots of blank templates. Take the "classic" size and when you get ready to print it out, reduce the percentage to 86% instead of 100%. This will reduce it to your size. You may have to experiment a little. I have a HP printer. When you click on print, somewhere it will say properties, etc., click on that you should see a reduce % button. Unfortunately, we do not have a Franklin Covey compact size choice in the templates directory. You can use the dynamic templates and I understand they are great, but I can not make them work for me and have given up trying. Are you looking for anything in particular?

@zippytex - You challenge me !

I want to help. May I contact you offline to see if we can get the Dynamics working for you ?

To do your own pages...

you need a few basic things:
Since your planner does not use paper of an easily obtained size, you need a way to cut paper to the size you need.

You then need a way to punch holes for your binder.

Since you are here, I am guessing you have a computer, and I am hoping that you have a printer.

Once all this is in place, a DIY Planner is not far off.

A tip: Most folks find it easier top print onto standard paper size (easier in the printer) and then cut pages to size.

All that and more is described here: A Beginner's Guide to Making a D*I*Y Planner

Compact Size

I have the same issue! I just got my compact Franklin Covey and cannot find the hole punch for this size. I finally found the day planner refills at Office Depot. I have noticed printing a calendar from Outlook Calendar you can change the paper setting to "Daytimer #20254 and select Day Timer Senior Pocket. That size fits in mine.

I will have to try changing the percent to 86% instead of 100% like previously mentioned. Hopefully that will help me with several Word docs I would like to put in my organizer.

If anyone has an item number for the hole punch for the 6 ring compact Franklin Covey organizer, post it here please! :)
