Creating Planner for WAHM's & would love suggestions!
I am starting to work on a few planner page templates that I would have no problem sharing with others upon completion. However, I have a few questions and any help would be much appreciated.
PLAN / IDEA:
- The idea is create a simple yet appealing design that one can input their info before printing, or can print, add to 3 ring binder and hand-write their info.
- I have friends that are Work at Home Mothers and have had requests to make a planner that is useful over all time that one wouldn't have to buy a new one every year and one that would include just about everything work and home related for Work At Home Mothers to create a Planner / household notebook / lifebook / whatever you wish to call it.
- Would be created to print on 8 1/2 x 11 papers to allow for 3 hole punch on side for 3 ring binder insert -AND- could allow for two hole punch on top for file folder insert for those needing that option.
PAGES TO CREATE:
Daily pages (with work to do list, home to do list, hourly time schedule from 7am to 2am, Notes/Doodle space and small space for meal plan for day)
Monthly page
Weekly page with small notes space
Events page (to input annual events such as birthdays, anniversaries, etc for quick glance on one page)
Website Information (to keep track of Website addresses, username & passwords on paper rather than on your computer)
Monthly & Weekly Menu Planner
To Do List / Shopping List - these would be 3 lists per page, could be cut along two line & used individually, stapled together, bound together (I have instructions on how to do this - very easy)
These are the basics, and others may come after I create these ones...any suggestions for other WAHM related needs are very welcomed.
Inspiration:
This Simple but eye-appealing Daily Planner - very simple design, but colorful/cheerful for the Mommy crowd and lots of space for info
This set of planner pages. Again, simple design, but colorful.
Would like this to be appealing to many so I would not use icons/illustrations as this would lessen the number of people who would choose to use it.
My Questions
1. What is preferred to print these from by others? (I have preferred PDF as the layout of design isn't compromised when problems in Word/Excel/etc arise).
2. I am great with graphic design but have never created any items to be used widespread for printing like this. I assume I would create the template/design I want in my graphics program (photoshop cs4) then create PDF file from it with the options of having a form in it for users to fill out before printing. If anyone knows if this is the best way to do so, please let me know or give suggestions of better ways to do this.
Thank you and hope to hear many suggestions on this as I plan to work hard on this to get it completed for new year (or mid January at the VERY latest)!

Yes, I downloaded them, but
Yes, I downloaded them, but can not get them to open / print properly to even see if they would be worth tweaking to my own needs.
I guess this may be the biggest reason I would be choosing to create my planner template to be used as PDF w/forms as the layout should work correctly for everyone yet text can be edited.
