Those are tempting, but I am wondering about the scratches. I have several old leather items (wallets, notepads, etc) which no longer look new, but a good wash and/or buff could make them look new again, yet I would say that none of them are scratched at all. That's one of the reasons for using leather, I think, so I wonder, are these items damaged by cardboard cutting knives? If so, that type of damage would seem problematic, even at that price.

I've had a bad time with the leather products from Levenger. They seem very delicate and scratch easily. Then again, others don't seem to have the problems I do. I have to admit that I did cave and buy a grapemist leather swiftnotes holder from ebay which came pre-intialed with LT (my initials). I may be too scared to do anything with it other than use it as a desk decoration.
