Hipster Annual Calendar Special formatting needed

Hello. I bought a Brother Laser Printer a couple of months ago, and ran into problems printing 3x5 templates on this printer, because the printer's own 3x5 settings cut huge margins on the card, making 3x5 templates pretty much useless.

Then I discovered that I could create a template that prints to a full sized page, but the 3x5 template is manually centered, thereby maximizing card space.
This works because the printer grabs paper from the center, rather than from the left, so I insert 3x5 cards on the center feed successfully.

My problem is that I forgot I had been printing annual calendars from DIY pdf 3x5 templates, which expect cards to be fed from the left. As I have begun to look to 2010, I am at at a loss to know how to either print those DIY templates to my printer, given the above problem, or failing that, how to create my own annual calendar on either Word or Excel for a 3x5 card. It is simply all 12 months with the days and weeks, and only a little space at the bottom for notes.

I have so far been able to create my own templates to substitute for most 3x5 DIY templates that don't work with my printer, except the annual calendar.

Any suggestions appreciated.

You can use Multivalent...

...to create 4-up sheets of 3x5 templates that will then print centered on a page.
I have posted a few examples of 2-up stuff with Multivalent. Do you need a specific how-to ? Let me know which Hipster templates you are using and I can walk you through it.

I tried to search on the site for the template without success, on my computer the file is called 2008-2009_0.pdf

Must be a Dynamic output

'cause the Official Hipster Templates have no dated calendars in them
Send me a copy, please.

Got it

I will have to wait until I go home to do the actual 4-upping 'cause I cannot use my work 'puter for such things -- restrictions and no admin access and other such bureaucratic stuff.

Here's a Quick-and-Dirty way to do it ...

Open the PDF with Adobe Reader -- I am on a Windows XP box (at work) and I have version 9.1
Print the document. When you get the Print Dialog, in Page Handling select "Multiple Pages per Sheet", Pages per Sheet = 4, and select "Print page border"

I got all on one sheet and the borders measure 3 by 5 exactly.

I will give you the Multivalent way to do this later today. One advantage of the Multivalent way is that the four-block will be all together in the center of the page. Less cutting out to do.
