custom 4 up printnig

I have a question.

I like the hipster PDA, and so I downloaded the 4 to a page file because I'd rather use cut paper than index cards.

But what if I want to edit my text? I downloaded gimp and edited one of the files just fine, but now that I'm finished, I don't know how to put four of them on one page so that I can print it onto a sheet of paper and cut it up.

make a 6 by 10 inch canvas in the same resolution and then copy the original into it 4 times
