FreeRefill.com

Has anyone used this? Obviously it's not really free, you're paying shipping, but it's a much lower price per than I can find locally. I have a beautiful Libelle rollerball that I haven't used in several years because of lack of ink and lack of wanting to pay $5 for a single refill... but $1 apiece seems almost too good to be true. I can't find any scam reports for it, but precious few actual users, either.

I would avoid them

"FreeRefill" looks, to me, like a very poorly disguised attempt to take your money from you. I tried ordering more than one type of product and it would not let me.

On a slightly different topic, have you tried any of the cartridge-refillable rollerballs ? Stand by, I will be reviewing them here soon, or you can PM me if you cannot wait.

I think that's where the

I think that's where the not-really-free part comes in, you can't save on shipping by putting in a bulk order, but even without a bulk order it's a good price per. Presuming that they're not going to run off with my credit card number. I can risk $5, I don't want to risk someone in Nigeria draining my bank account.

On the cartridge-refillable ones... I didn't even know such a thing existed! I really don't want a new pen, though, at least not right now. Well, maybe in addition to, but not instead of, anyhow... (Oh, how I can be tempted!) This one is, well, it was a gift and it's the prettiest pen I've ever seen before or since, so I want to be able to put it to good use.

Google is not my friend this time...

Google isn't 'splainin the scoop this time ?! What's up with the refillableness of rollerballs? I'm assuming you don't mean putting in another refill, as with Pilot G2s ? :-)

A few Suggestions...

try http://www.SwisherPens.com
They list two types of Schmidt refills for Libelle pens, priced at $2 for a plastic tube and $4 for a metal tube.

also, try http://www.passion4pens.com
Their page says you can use the following in a Libelle: Schneider®Topball 850, Schmidt® 888/5888, Caran d'Ache® RB refills
and then they have, on the same page, a link that shows a 10-pack of Schneider®Topball 850 refills for $9.75 or a mixed color bundle of a dozen for $14.50

For just a couple,

For just a couple, frequently the shipping outweighs the lower price available online. And I'm not sure I can use a ton. But that multi-color pack... that's pretty awesome, I'd done a lot of looking and hadn't seen anybody who'd do something like that and let you pick your own colors! Will definitely have to look into it. Thanks, that's a great find!
