Rollabind shipping times?

As I mentioned in a previous post, I ordered the Rollabind punch from their website on July 23. I haven't heard anything from them since the confirmation email they sent that day, and I don't have my punch yet. I sent them an email on August 2, asking about it, and another on August 4 (this one using the website contact form), but I've had no response yet.

Is this normal? How long does it normally take for product shipped from Rollabind to arrive at its new home?

I have so many ideas that are just waiting for that punch, I can hardly stand it!

edited to add: I just spoke with a nice woman (named Katina) at (1-888-972-4004). It turns out that (a)the desk punch is on backorder, and they expect to have it in tomorrow; and (b)they've recently restarted the direct sale aspect of the business (after having been focused exclusively on the licensing aspect), and so we're dealing with startup-type problems as if it were brand-new. I asked Katina to email me when my order has shipped, and give me an estimated delivery date.
*tapping my fingers* I hate waiting.

I know how hard it is to

I know how hard it is to wait for this stuff; just try to distract yourself . . .

I've ordered from Rollabind, and while I don't quite remember how long it took, this seems a bit long if you ordered on 7/23. I'd give them a call: 1-888-709-7793, 8-6 EST, esp. if they haven't responded to your emails.

Love the quote, by the way!

thanks for the number

I'll call them on my lunch break and see what I can find out.

The quote's from a character in a book I read several years ago. Unfortunately, I can't remember the character's name or the book or author; but the line has stuck with me ever since.

Unsuccessful client

I tried to order from Rollabind but they were so slow in answering my calls and emails that I let go.

The guy at MC2 Office reported the same problem with them and they seem to think that Rollabind is going out of business (hence the 50% discount on everything - I think).

I'd recommend trying other providers...

When I placed my order with

When I placed my order with MC2 a few weeks ago that's what they told me as well. That they (MC2) will not be carrying Rollabind products any longer because they've had so many problems getting any responses from Rollabind, and suspect that there may be problems with the company.

This might be part of the problem with the Jotz supply issue as well?

So, if I already had an order in with Rollabind, I would definitely call them. Has the charge already gone through on your credit card? Did they give you any shipping info at all or a tracking number of any sort?

I certainly hope that I hear that there are in fact no problems with Rollabind, and that there's just been some temporary supply issue or something.

That's not encouraging. Yes, the charge went through on my card within a day or two of my placing the order. I'll have to call them to see if I can find out what's going on.

I recently ordered an assortment of discs from Rollabind. If I recall correctly, it took about 3 weeks from order to get the discs. I didn't try email contact; I called. So, if you can, hang in there. From what I recall, ordering on July 23, the order probably wasn't fulfilled until about a week later (this from personal experience). Then, the mailings took a while longer.

I just placed a phone order

I just placed a phone order for discs and a notebook. I told the guy on the phone that I had heard there had been some delays in getting orders out. He said there had been a problem with something or other (rather vague), but the issue had been resolved. He said my order should go out in 24 hours and arrive in 3-4 bus. days. If anyone's interested, I'll keep you posted, but I really don't remember having a problem with my previous order.

Ladycat, if it's not too late, I definitely would not pay that charge on your credit card until you actually receive the items, just to be safe.

And in case anyone hasn't heard -- I'm selling a brand new Levenger leather junior notebook in bluebell!

the problem item

What happened was that they had sold out of the desktop punch; it's their most popular item, and they don't have space for a lot of inventory at their current location. By the end of the month, they'll be doing all their fulfillment out of a warehouse in Buffalo, so it shouldn't be an issue for long.

They're also redoing their website, so maybe the system will be able to tell someone if an item is out of stock. If it had, I'd have placed my order elsewhere. As it is, my card is actually a debit card, so the money's effectively gone. If I don't hear in the next day or two that my punch is on its way, I'll call them back and see what can be done.

I'm sure they'll let you

I'm sure they'll let you cancel that part of the order; they may even have to. If you do that, they should also cancel/refund any additional shipping charged to have the punch included in the order. But I hope it just works itself out -- good luck.

Rollabind order placed late on 8/6

. . . arrived today, no problems.
