Blank Business Cards/Micro-PDA refills -- HEY SARA !!

I found a local "Ma & Pa" print shop and asked for a quote on 1000 blank business cards of plain, white stock.

The quote came back as: $23 plus tax for 1000 business card stock cut 3.5 x 2 -80lb white -no imprint

Sounds like a good deal to me.

hate cutting or love it??

I always look for a cheaper way to do things sooooo how much do you hate cutting? cause you can get 5 x 8 plain index cards and get 4 per sheet with scraps.. 100 pack is 2.50 (roughly at staples) so you could get 400 for that amount. that said, you might not want to sit there and cut it all out and it would be worth the extra money for the convienence.

Better quality, I would think

Sam, I agree that one can go less expensive with index cards, but I believe this card stock will be better quality.

Cheap!

What, is that about 2 or 3 cents each? A pack of 100 3x5 cards work out to about a penny each for low-quality ones. Plus you make friends with your local mom-and-pop (and can perhaps scavenge for scraps!) Sounds like everybody wins to me...

good price

I'd say its a good price... :D

Print Shop = Quality

A few months ago I requested some card stock "scrap" from a local print shop. The cards ended up being slightly smaller than 3 x 5, but I didn't care....they were FREE. And the quality of the paper was superior to any notecards I've purchased in the office supply aisle anywhere else.

Have you hugged your print shop owner lately?

Free is the best price ... and don't forget to hug us lowly employees too ;)
