Buying Pilot Pens Online
Submitted by chriskraus on Sat, 2007-05-26 13:14.
I was looking at buying certain Pilot Rollerball models online directly from Pilot at their online store (www.pilotpen-store.com). Does anyone know of a website that sells pens like this for much cheaper than ordering directly from the manufacturer?
Thanks,
Chris :)

What models do you need?
dayspenshop.com carries the Knight and Ageless collections, if you're going for fancy. And I've had good dealings with them for my two orders from them.
Try JetPens...
I don't know if this site is cheaper than pilot-pens, but it's worth a look. Extensive selection and quick service.

Wow! I like this one! Thanks!
And there is ...
http://www.jpens.com/
I have purchased from both.
Both excellent.

Whew!
I'm glad to see a recommendation of jpens.com. I just placed my first order from that site. :-)
Agree on jetpens.com
I second all the nominations of www.jetpens.com - I've repeatedly purchased from their site and they provide excellent products and service.
In addition, you can find the 0.4 Hi Tec C pens at
http://www.montgomerypens.com/product_detail.asp?product_id=...
Marketed as G-Tec-C4 --evidently-- in Europe (this is slightly more expensive than buying Japanese version pens from jetpens.com). Montgomerypens also sells other pens which can't be found in the US, but it appears that they do ship outside of the UK.
I use these .4 mm Hi-Tec-C /G-Tec-C4 gel pens a lot for my planner - they are just the right line thickness. You can't find them in the US - the closest thing is the Uniball signo Gel RT 0.35 mm - Staples, of all places, was selling them a year ago in 12 packs - but I can no longer find them (but who cares, I have a 12 pack).
There is also JPens.com - but I found they have less of a selection.
If you live in the New York City or New Jersey area, you can go to the Sanseido Bookstore, River Rd. in Edgewater NJ or to the Kinokuniya Bookstore at Rockefeller Center (49th street) in Manhattan. They have pilot pens of all varieties most of which come from Japan and are not available in the US.

Oh wow. This is something I am going to have to look at, because personally I'm familiar with the North American Pilot models.
