Update--No More! ATTN: All Euro-dwellers interested in Rollabind...

Just a quick note. Due to the fact that I continue to receive requests for these, I must say that I am no longer able to provide these punches described below in the post. The offer is no longer valid. Sorry.

========== the below is retained for reference oly ==========
I think it's only fair to open this up to all European dwellers, but the Polish web auction site still has a bunch of Rollabind punches with about 1300 rings up.

LINK

Here is what you get:
1. Genuine Rollabind desktop punch (PBS1000)
480 1/4" rings
480 1/2" rings
360 3/4" rings

(actually, the above is what I got--I can't guarantee you will get exactly what I got, size-wise)

The cost in zl is 39zl +11zl for shipping to me.

shipping to England costs 96zl, and continental Europe may be less.

So, together, expect about 146zl. There are various online conversion sites, but the one I use converts that to about $53 USD.

If you are interested, please send me a private message via my contact page on this site.

I really need to have this stuff by Monday afternoon or evening, as that is when I need to tell the seller how many I need. I don't know if I will be able to get a break or not, but I will try. We shall see, but I need a concrete number to give him.

EDIT:

Forgot to mention Paypal. It would _really_ help if you have Paypal.

and

To clarify. What I am offering is to purchase from this Polish fellow for you, and then ship to you. I'm not asking anything except renumeration for my expenses in shipping and currency exchange--which is minimal, but existent.

So, who's in?

Rollabind for Europe

Thanks for the proposal. First of all, this is a great idea.
I am in Croatia (almost an EU country) - you know the country that shares almost the same melody for national anthem :D (if I am correct).

As for now, I would need one package (the one like yours would be great: PBS 1000 is a must, rings preferably light pastel colors, other things can be changed as agreed), and if everything turns OK (delivery and satisfaction), perhaps a couple more (later). Will be glad to provide as precise details as you need (manufacturer info for the puncher, disks, etc., so you could know what am I looking for exactly). I have the opportunity to have it right from the US (friend) sometime this year, but thought your proposition might be worth a shot.

Please contact me back, to set necessary details (package contents, colors, sizes, etc., or at least to see what can we do about it and are we OK about that), especially regarding delivery and payment arrangement (Moneybookers or like OK?). You can contact me via Google Talk (mirtagj), Skype (Origjigji) - offline messaging is also ok. I'll be on Gmail and GTalk during Sunday afternoon (+1:00 GMT) - probably a better option than waiting for each other's email replies. Thanks again for the thinking of us here - hope we can arrange something great for both of us!

I'm in too !

As we discussed earlier, please count me in too, I will then be happy to trade my pastel discs with Origjigji as I prefer classic colors. :)

Thanks for your efforts Jonglass.

Back to paper from PDAs that sucked.

At this point...

I am up to three names, not including Origjigji--until I hear from (her?) via email. You might want to get in contact between you two, if you are serious about trading. I can't help with the pastel colors, because I have no control over what disks this fellow is offering.

Let me summarize here publicly, in case I missed somebody. ;-)

So far, I have

1. you, darkskyz
2. paulien
3. latman

and a potential
4. origjigji

Am I correct? If I left somebody off the list, post here, and I'll try to get back with you privately.

-Jon

OK

Sound rights to me as I sent the money yet :)

Pastel vs. classic colors

Hi,

I have seen the comment re trading pastels for classic. I also like (original) classic colors, as well as other variations, but pastels seem to give me more flexibility (e.g. leaving as is, repainting, etc.), so if I have to choose, they would be my shopping priority, followed by others.

To answer your question - of course, I am interested, but need more info (country, package, price, etc., a pic or two would be nice as well).

In the meantime, prior to seeing your comment, I have confirmed my interest to jonglass, because my priority is the puncher. Jon kindly satisfied my curiosity on the flexibility of the package contents, and when I got the picture, I have decided the deal is too good to split hairs about disks - they'll serve as a temporary solution, ie. while I get my hands on the pastels or some other set I prefer.

That was before you popped-up with this suggestion. (Btw, have you seen jon's pics on flickr? Are these colors ok with you?)

Anyway, feel free to drop me a note on the email, or GTalk and we'll see :D

May I join?

Fantastic!

We're up to three people who got their packages today!

And I was a bit surprised, too, because today's a holiday ;-) Ok, only in Poland, but still, I wasn't expecting anything today. Thanks for the news.

-Jon

Count me too! It came today, and I already made two books with it. One for me, and one gift for my boyfriend.
Thanks for all your help Jon, you made us all a bit more happy and productive.

May I join?

I know I'm late, but is it still possible to join?

I finally realized that I should take pictures of the items from the auction, so here they are on Flickr:

Sweet Deal

Approx $53 US!

Wish we could find a deal this sweet here in the US!

not quite as sweet

But pretty close!!

I just purchased, on eBay, a Rollabind Desktop Punch kit with 100-something discs. Shipping price was pretty high, but still got it for almost $40 less than ordering direct from Rollabind, including shipping.

Correction: 339 discs.
Contacted the seller.

@@@ YEEEHAAA @@@ (<--

@@@ YEEEHAAA @@@ (<-- summersaults)- the Rollabind punch and disks arrieved, and I am happily smurfing away :--) :--). Thank you, Jon, mwah! Will be posting pics soon.

Bye Judy

We'll expect to hear from you in a week or so once you run out of things to smurf. :-D

Just as well I don't have

Just as well I don't have table cloths around the house :-D .
I was smurfing in the garden (no, the leaves are still intact) and smurfing in the house, and now the smurfetti goblin follows me around leaving little presents in my slippers, on the path, carpet, chair. So far I've only bound some scratchpads (including one cute little one with rounded corners), gardening newsletters and other loose bits and bobs, letting some ideas incubate, whilst getting a feel for the discs. I thought I wouldn't use all those discs in a lifetime, but have managed to go through quite a few already! Paper and card edges look so irresistable....

:D

Many congratulations~! It is such a great feeling to have that smurf-making device in hand (or on table as the case may be). :D

congratulations

Judy,
Looking forward to your pics!

nothing to do with the topic, but We've been shoe bombed again.

Rollabind offer

Jon - is this offer still available in any way at all please?

Best Wishes
David

It depends...

I have one solid "yes" on my waiting list. If you are serious, click on my name above, and contact me via email via the contact page, and I'll add your name. This is no guarantee that I will do it, but I will gauge the interest, and whether or not I have time. I'm kind of busy right at the moment, and have two weeks of "vacation" coming in mid-June. But email me, and we will see where we go from there.

-Jon

Got it all !

I got the whole package today and let me say that it will tale some time for me to use all these rings !
The puch is just a rock solid heavy desk one and works like a charm.

THUMBS UP TO JONGLASS FOR ALL HIS WORK ON THIS ONE

-Darkskyz

Back to paper from PDAs that sucked.

Only a couple still floating around out there!

Only two unaccounted for now! One was delayed a couple days, but wasn't going far. The other to England, but both are to third parties who will have to inform the recipients... Still sweating bullets. ;-)

I shan't be happy until all our babies are home!

-Jon

Belated Thanks

I have to say that I am really impressed with mine, although I have only churned out one book so far.

I have been tied up in other matters recently but wanted to say a big THANKS to Jon, publicly, without whom all of this would not have been possible. You are a star Sir!

Thanks again.

Closing the circle

This is to publicly thank Jon for his wonderful initiative, effort and accountability. My Rolla pack came in today, and I am officially a smurfer now :D

(Actually, the Jon's part of the deal has been promptly fulfilled and delivered within 5-7 working days from the payment. The package has been waiting for me for couple of weeks at my friend's place before the two of us were able to meet; for this particular occassion, this has been the safest way to have it delivered to me.)
