Another size of the DIY Planner-pack..

Is it possible to get the whole DIY-pack (perhaps in version 3.0 ;-) in another size.

I would be very pleased if the designmakers could do anoter size... like 3.75x6.75. It would fit nice in my Filofax Personal and that is a size that I prefer. A5 and classic etc is - for me - to big and I don´t want to have to much to carry around.

Anyway.. keep the good work up.

Thanks for a very nice site with a lot interesting stuff to read about.

How to make your own

Hi popeye. It's fairly easy to make your own size if you have openoffice.org draw (free program)

Here's how I did it(with version 1.1.5 and the hipster PDA Graphics pack):

1. Open draw, go to format> page
2. Change view to landscape and set all margins to .50
3. Go to insert> graphics and pick the page you want to create.
4. Right click on the graphic and go to postition and size.
5. Position x = .50
position y= .25
width= 3.75
height= 6.75
Click on the check mark to protect position and size
6. Insert a second graphic this time the position is
x=5.75
y=.25
Don't forget to protect position and size.

That's it. This allows you to print 2 per page, flip it over and print on the backs etc...

Hope this helps.

Where to DIYPlanner pack in openoffice format?

Hi,

I just wonder where can I download the DIYPlanner pack in openoffice format? I could only find PDF or openoffice for widget kit only...

Thanks.

Full Planner in OOo format?

There's some information about this over in the FAQs, but the gist of is that only the Widget Kit, some miscellaneous pieces (like the cover template), and some third-party templates are available in OOo at this time. Almost all of D*I*Y Planner v3 (as v2 and v1) is done in Adobe Illustrator and InDesign. We're planning on doing more in OOo, but that's not in the immediate future. (As much as I like OOo, I'm not convinced that it could easily handle the three hundred templates and the thousands and thousands of layers needed for the official kit.)

all my best,
dj

Sorry!

I'm sorry it took me so long to respond. I haven't check the site in awhile.

The files I used in open office draw were in the hipster pda graphics files, scroll down and look for the one with _gr_ in the name. It's only in version 2 so far.

"Personal Size"

There are top-secret plans afoot. Sshhh.

Filofax vs Classic

I want to go back to paper planning. I used a filofax personal for many years before going electronic and like the smaller size. To avoid having to create my system twice, is there a time frame in the next few months to have Filofax Personal templates available? I am glad I found your site. Thanks

Compact or Personal Size Pages

Came home an hour ago very discouraged by shopping for a planner & pages . . . Just found your website and can't believe you're talking about the size pages I need! I'll be checking back to see when the 'secret is out.' Thanks, thanks, thanks!

Compact/Personal typ

I am also anxiously awaiting templates in the 3.75 X 6.75 size of templates. Thanks.

I too use the 3/75 x 6/75

I too use the 3/75 x 6/75 size and will be glad to see those templates. Not only glad but grateful. Love this site.

3.75" x 6.75". Aye, that is about the size of it...

The are already a few 95mm x 171mm forms in the Templates Directory under GTD.

Oh my goodness Carruthers, I have been metrified. :o

D*I*Y Planner 2.0 style personal sized templates

I uploaded a set of personal size templates to the directory. They are, however, based upon the D*I*Y Planner 2.0 style templates, not the newer 3.0 style.

I too am trying not to expire while "holding my breath"

waiting for this. A few of the forms in this size in the templates section are useful, but the problem is working out a "printing matrix" when pulling from 3 or 4 separate pdf files. Having all of the forms as with the other sizes would be infinitely more convenient.... 2.0 would be fine, doesn't need to be 3.0 for me.

I also use a different sized

I also use a different sized planner, a Franklin Covey compact size. The paper I bought once, but it was too expensive and didn't fit me. The pages are 4.25 by 6.75 (a bit wider than the dayrunner ones). I don't have OpenOffice, yet could you convert these files via Microsoft Office anyway? Also, which files would I convert?

What do you mean

A few of the forms in this size in the templates section are useful, but the problem is working out a "printing matrix" when pulling from 3 or 4 separate pdf files. Having all of the forms as with the other sizes would be infinitely more convenient.... 2.0 would be fine, doesn't need to be 3.0 for me.

What do you mean by "printing matrix"?

Which forms in the 2.0/2.5 pack are you looking for in personal size that you haven't found in the templates directory? Depending upon which one(s) you need, I could add it(them) to the ones that I created (see link above). Or I could upload the OOo Draw files and you can modify to create your own.
