Since discovering this site two weeks ago, I have become enthralled with the idea of printable customizable 3x5 card templates. Just became aware of the existence of the Hipster PDA movement during the summer, after using 3x5 & 5X8 index cards and 3X3 post-it slips for to do, journal, and referencing items for a number of years.
Look forward to dropping in over time and adding some creative thought in the future.

I understand that there has to be a limit to how many templates exist if only to keep Doug sane. But can I really be the only DIY Planner visitor that uses a personal sized Filofax or DayRunner?
Templates that fit this size paper are my wish list.
Thank you for your concerns about my sanity (strangely enough, you're one of many ;-) ).
As for the Personal sized templates, a lot of people have emailed me to say that the Hipster PDA Edition works beautifully. They take the graphics version, slap them into a layout program (to scale them and leave room for holes), and print. I haven't tried it myself, but I see no reason why this wouldn't work. Of course, finding the right paper size and setting up the punching are quite other matters....

It's also a fantastic way to make sheets that fit into a Moleskine. I keep a Next Action and custom shopping list plus a folded week view (made from the two sheet week view in the calendar update) in my Moleskine. 3.5 x 5.5.
The graphic version for a Personal size Filofax sounds like a good idea, but has anyone figured out a clever way of fitting a few of these sheets onto A4 paper?
Buying prepunched A4 paper from Filofax is very expensive and I already own a little filofax puncher.
I'm printing 3 personal templates on one A4 sheet, landscape. That leaves 6 mm on left and right sides and 18mm at the top and bottom. I guess you can even print 3 templates on 8.5" x 11" paper with a little scaling, but then you'll get 3 2/3" x 6 3/4" and absolutely no margins left or right.
I've made my own DIY-Planner based templates for this size (well, for 93mm x 171mm, but I'm slowly resizing to the more common 3 3/4" x 6 3/4" size). I intend to upload those soon-ish. (See also the photo of my kit)
I like almost everything I find on this site. I enjoy reading the articles and it's nice to know I'm not alone in my hobby. I selected templates, but only because Doug makes pretty templates that work; a rare combination. =)
My second choice would be Guest posts - and not just to give Doug a break. Hearing about other people's ideas and experiences is a great way to become more motivated and acquire more creative ideas.
As to formatting sizes, I usually use Adobe acrobat to shrink or stretch the page to the size I want. Sometimes it can be a bit tricky to get the sizing just right, but I use HPDA templates in my 1/2-letter-size day planner regularlly.

Dig Dug,
For the love of God man, how am I supposed to keep track of where my camels are?! Maybe a column on using the matrix to keep track of non-traditional cattle locations? Maybe.....
