Split and merge PDF's

In some cases I would like to print two non adjoining pages from the core pdf double-sided on one piece of paper (i.e. page 1 and 6 from the core templates).

Adobe Reader does not allow you to print multiple ranges, so I went looking for tools or PDF readers that provide this functionality.

And I have found one: Multivalent!

This is a java command line utility that will allow you to split or merge PDF's. You could use this for example to create a sheet with an Agenda front (p. 19 from the official core a5 pdf) and Notes (p. 4 from the Notes a5 pdf) on the back by first merging the two pdf's and then split it by extracting the two needed pages.

Cool stuff!

(I have attached the two-page pdf that I created this way.)
