Rollabind News

Found out something interesting today. I've been having a really hard time getting quantities of discs in the sizes and colors I want. First one vendor sent only part of my order because he can't get Black Large, then another told me that a pastel disc assortment is on backorder with no ETA from the vendor..

The first vendor told me the company they used to deal with is no longer answering their phone or fax--when I called Rollabind, I got "CJ Creative" and they answered right away and said the vendor was incorrect, basically.

I called the second vendor today, and she told me that Rollabind was bought outright by Carl, who was formerly a licensor/distributor of Rollabind stuff. Apparently it's all a bit of a mess at the moment, but the new owner is getting supply lines setup and working on new colors and stuff.

Just to put in a plug for the second vendor, Wilde-Ideas (, they are willing to open up disc packages to re-assemble the assortment that I wanted (that's not available) so I can get the discs I ordered. This is service! I was a little dubious from all the disclaimers and stuff all over their site, but this willingness to open up containers, count, reassemble, etc. is very happy. I would definitely deal with them again.

Can't wait to get my discs! :) And I'm looking forward to seeing what Carl does with Rollabind! Carl is big, so they ought to be able to do some cool stuff with it--and they're in every office supply chain we all shop..

Glad to hear they are doing everything they can to assure you are a satisfied customer... that isn't too common in today's world.

I dream of the day when Rollabind is available at all crafting and hobby type stores~! Like Hobby Lobby and Michaels...

or better yet,... in OfficeMax, OfficeDepot AND Staples.

(I also have been dreaming about having my own circa/rollabind setup... my dreams are so nice and organized ;P
my artwork

that explains it!

I tried to order one of the Jotz refillable notebooks. As far as I can tell, the only place to get them is Ulimate Office's site: I had emailed their customer service to ask a question about the Jotz products and was told they are having problems getting them from their supplier. He actually recommended going to Rollabind or Levenger if I needed one quickyly! How often will a company recommend a customer go to the competition if it is more convenient? I'll definitely order one when they are available again. I'm thinking an ideal set up would be a Levenger planner and Jotz notebooks for archival.

Glad to hear Wilde-Ideas took care of the issue.

Jotz notebook update

I just spoke with a customer service rep at Ultimate Office and they now have an anticipated date of late May for the return of the Jotz Refillable Notebooks (classic size).

I guess I can take solace in the fact that they will be here a lot sooner than Battlestar Galactica (Jan. '08). But not much.

I have only one left. "Sorry, I can't take on your project right now. No, I have plenty of time, it's just that I don't have a blank notebook that I can assign to it." :-D

Classic size Jotz?

I didn't even realize Jotz came in Classic size. When I looked into them, they had letter size and Mini size (a little bigger than 3x5" I think) and when I emailed them they said there were no plans on creating any other size. I guess we'll have to wait and see.

Ooops, yes Kenny I meant

Ooops, yes Kenny I meant letter size Jotz, not classic. That's how torn up I was... :-D
