Thanks, I had just about given up. The notebooks can't be far behind. Thanks Ygor!

Probably same as the old version?

I bought, then returned the Staples punch, when it first came out, once I realized is the same as the old version of the disk bound punch.

Anyone knows if it is the same with the Office Depot punch? I am guessing only Levenger carries the new version.

I have a very bad feeling about this, Obi Wan...

I have tried multiple Office Depot stores in the DC area.
No one knows anything about this product line.
On the page about the punch, it says "distributor: Swinton Avenue Trading Ltd., Inc."
Google says that is in Boca Raton, Florida. -- the home of Jack "Rollabind" Feldman.

Looking at this page again:

The colored discs look all too familiar.

Did Rollabind make a deal with Office Depot ?

Follow-Up : Good News

I pinged Office Depot from multiple directions, asking where and when these notebooks will be available. My methods paid off !! I got an email from the manager of my local OD saying that they were setting up the display today (yesterday, Tuesday). I thanked him and said I would be in that evening.

The notebooks were there. I bought one junior size notebook and took a few pictures of the display.

I will put togeter a more detailed review/report, but here is the short version: These notebooks are very similar to Staples Arc. The discs appear identical. The "smurfs" (punched holes) appear identical in size and spacing. A page from an Arc notebook I had handy fit into the OD Revolution perfectly. They have junior and letter sizes initially. The display also included spare discs, size 3/4 inch.

I spoke with an assistant manager and told her about disc binding in general, the "history" of Rollabind's business practices in specific, and even mentioned diy-planner. The manager assured me that Swinon Ave. Trading is part of Office Depot rather than, as feared, part of Rollabind.

Stay tuned. Film at 11 !

Online availability of other "Revolution" (Arc type items)

Is anyone else annoyed that the punch is the only "Revolution" item you buy online? Adding insult to injury, you can't even see pictures and read descriptions of what they have in the stores. And, they aren't available at Office Max, only Office Depot.

I'm surprised you were able to find the punch online. Unless I'm doing something wrong it doesn't seem searchable under the term "Revolution".

In fairness, it does say

In fairness, it does say "In-Store Only" on the webpage. (You're right though, I want my Revolution notebooks but you expect me to actually GO to the STORE? how 1980s.)

You can do anything, but you can't do everything.
