Pagefinder templates

Hi.

I saw a couple of templates for pagefinder inserts (the ones that fit into pouch pagefinders), but what I'd really like to see is a cardstock pagefinder (for Classic). I swear I saw one on here somewhere, but I can't find it now. It had the same curved top shape that the pouch pagefinder has, and of course room for holes to be punched and slotted.

What I'd like to put on my pagefinders would be:

Daily recurring tasks (pre-printed so I don't have to rewrite all the time)
Weekly recurring
Monthly recurring..

..you get the idea. I'm following a variation of the SHE (Sidetracked Home Executives) system using index cards right now, but I'd rather have something I can carry with me (I have a 5x7x4 unfinished wood box that keeps all my stuff right now). I found a nice Classic binder with an exterior pocket for gadgetry & misc (Day Timer), and now I need to revamp the interior to suit.

The recurring tasks are, generally speaking, chores. So they might not be pagefinders in the true sense--I don't really need them to stick out over the page, and I'd really prefer it if they didn't span/cover an entire page.

If no such template already exists, I may have to make one myself. But I thought I'd check first.

Anyway, usage is this:
Fill in the pagefinder with recurring tasks. Example, Monday's pagefinder would include garbage day and changing/cleaning the cat box. Tuesday's would show cleaning the bathroom and changing out the linens and rugs. etc.. Monthly recurring tasks would be shown on a separate set (perhaps a different color). Same with quarterly, semiannual, or annually recurring tasks.

So, you start with the weekly stuff. Put one pagefinder in place for each day of the next week (Monday tasks on Monday, etc.). When the tasks for the day are done or Monday is over, move the pagefinder to next Monday so it will be there to remind you what to do.

It's not a checklist--you don't mark the items when they're done. It's just a reminder. The SHE ladies suggest having a spot for a "Date Last Done" and "Skipped" for those items you choose not to do on the day they're due, but I don't currently use this concept in my card system. When you're done with each day, you refile the pagefinder on the next day it will be due--so it works the same for stuff that's daily, weekly, monthly, etc., you just file it forward.

These items would have to be durable, printed on good cardstock or even manila folders.

Anyway, I would think that something like this might be useful for followers of Flylady as well, since she started her system as a variation on the SHE system also.

Return of the Recurring Task...

Hi Kristina

I like your ideas. However I cannot remember seeing a Pagefinder Template. Could it be the Satellite Action Card you are thinking of?

Covey's got it

Hi.

No, I finally did find it again--but it wasn't on this site, it was on the Franklin Covey site. It's their progressive task list, in a pagefinder shape printed on heavy cardstock.

Shows my tremendous memory, I'd actually ordered the thing a few hours before and couldn't remember that I'd done it. Whee!

It's the featured form for the month, so it's on sale 25% off.
