Getting a salesperson vibe....

Anyone else?

definitely a shill for the company

And the sad part is, they'd have so much loyalty here if they'd just deliver on the products people order from them. Gotta think these people aren't paying attention if this is what they do instead of reading customer complaints and just fixing the problems.

I think we have a returning troll here

I think this is our old Rollabind mole "Alan S" with a new login.

Kinda dumb to use the same email address on both accounts, Alan/Scott/Tara/Whatever your real name is.

Are we surprised?

Kind of sad, too... It just goes to show that the problems with the company are quite deep... As soon as I read the original post, I figured it was this...

almost worth taking the chance.....

just tried to use the coupon & got an error message saying " This coupon has reached the maximum redemption limit." given other comments i've read regarding Rollabind's site & their customer service this is just another example of a company in desperate need of a clue! i'm beyond disappointed!!

i love my Arc notebook & all the pages, dividers etc. i do have a couple of small Rollabind notebooks as well & the portable punch. i really want/need the desk punch for all the stuff i punch hence the taking a chance ordering from Rollabind. the 20% off would have made it reasonable to purchase.

guess i'll make do for now until either Arc offers a punch or i find a fantastic deal on Circa desk punch.

oh and yes i did post the first paragraph to Rollabind's Facebook page :c ) after all they posted the coupon there.

Mind-boggling, isn't it?

I'd be darn sure my coupon code worked before I spammed a forum with it - just to keep from making my company look any worse than it already does.

Now, let's be fair...

It might have worked and got flooded, but it would also have been nice to say that the code only has so many uses before it expires. I see those all the time on sites like I have no problem with a limited coupon code. I appreciate their honesty.

Confirmed ! TimberTara is Alan S

I emailed him/her and got the following responses:

Why don't you interview Jack & get some first hand info. Really easy to throw stones. Ever have to make a payroll?
Scott Shabot

Dude, Jack is welcome on this forum any time he wants to participate, but he needs to be ready to catch a lot of heat and crap.

I no longer rep Rollabind just a big fan & would hope you would want a different point of view then yours!
No more heat then your business practices!
Best regards
Scott Shabot

Different points of view are always welcome here. Trolls and Astro-Turfing much less so. Just be ready for the responses. As to practices, business or otherwise, one only gets heat for bad service and/or dishonesty/deception (nudge, nudge, wink, wink)

one point of view they don't really seem to want... the customer's! I mean, there have been _tons_ of complaints on this forum, and maybe, at the most, a couple positives. It's not about ygor's point of view at all, but the fact that they can't seem to treat a customer right, and that's based on the problems that many customers have had.

It's understandable that they need to meet payroll, but to rip off the customer to do so is not good ethics.

So sad

They have a product many of us want. If they could clean up their business and be honest with their customers, they would even have a fan base.

I wish they would come here and ask for help, listen to the advice, and work toward fixing the problems. It would benefit all of us.

I think a lot of us enjoy having company reps talk about their products, but we need honesty.

Rollabind sheet protectors

Anyone else had problems with the rollabind sheet protectors? I ordered several packages of them and they are too small -- all my letter size paper gets folds in it. I called them and it took forever (days) to talk to someone .. who said I'd get a call back. Never happened. I really need circa sheet protectors but the Levengers are 5 for $14. I've tried to make my own, but just gum up my circa punch.

Staples Arc

Check Staples to see if they have sheet protectors for their new Arc line. I've also punched old day-timer page protectors to include in my circa binder, you could pick up some of those at Staples, maybe.

We'll see how it goes...

After buying some of the ARC paper and discs at Staples today, I decided that I might as well get a punch to do custom stuff on nicer paper. I found this thread and decided to roll the dice and get the Rollabind model instead of the Circa. With the coupon, the shipping is basically free and you save a couple pennies more. It's also about 10 bucks less than the Levenger punch and (according to the website) can handle a few more pages.

They actually do have a facebook group, but the group logo doesn't match their website one so I skipped over it when I was looking for it.

I'll let you know how it goes. They only take paypal, which I think has buyer protection (at least the card I'm using has it).

Good Luck

Please let us know what happens

Ordering wasn't the easiest

I placed the order, but it wasn't the easiest process. I just added the punch to my cart, then tried to click through to pay and use the code. Problem was that I didn't realize they only took PayPal. When you complete the order, it takes you to a PayPal page to log in or enter a credit card. I haven't used my PayPal account for a while, so when I logged in, it didn't fail, but just disappeared and took me back to the site. The punch was still in my cart, but all the information I entered (billing address, shipping address, etc) was gone. I logged into PayPal and found out that there was a pop up for a new terms of service, which is probably what messed it up.

My second try entailed creating an account on the website first, so that if it failed again I wouldn't have to enter in all the information a third time. After doing that and accepting the new ToS from PayPal, it worked fine.

I got a confirmation email from PayPal and from Rollabind shortly after. PayPal lists "SJ CREATIVE LLC" as the person/company receiving the payment which is a little suspicious.

I'm eager to get the punch and hope that I'm not let down.

Still waiting...

Sent them an email today to ask when my punch would be shipped. It was originally backordered, so I've been waiting and emailing weekly for updates. Rollabind's order is supposed to be arriving this week, which means that I probably won't get it until next week sometime. Based on the time it takes for email turnaround with customer support (a day or two), I'm guessing this is a home based business that probably doesn't carry much stock.

Punch shipping

In February, I ordered the Binding Kit 1000, which included a desk punch. I opted for the package rather than just the punch since I'm a college student and use several notebooks. I also intended to make a few custom planners for fellow officers of a student organization I'm an officer of. I placed the order on 2/11/11. I received a shipping notification that my package had shipped on 2/23, which I thought wasn't too bad considering the complaints here about shipping. But then I noticed the punch was backordered. So I received 10 empty notebooks, and had nothing to put in them which obviously ruined my excitement. Being impatient, and not receiving a response to my email inquiring how long it would be before the punch was shipped, I went on eBay and got one for $20 less. I practically forgot about the backordered punch from Rollabind, until I received it in MAY! So it finally got here, and now I have one at work and at home.

Lucky you !

You finally received it.
Many do not.
I got mine from eBay as well.
