Rolla at Staples

I was at a store in Jacksonville, FL a couple of weeks ago and they had plenty of letter sized refills of the tabbed dividers, pockets, and refill paper but no binders. Rolla is definitely "hit-or-miss" at Staples still.

Just purchased a new letter sized book at my local Staples and it was the last one they had in the black cover. A few refills and I also bought the last set of 3 dividers they had.

We still have the same stuff here...

How do you align the holes on the punch?

With 2 holes per rolodex punch, you'd have to punch about 5 times to get 10 holes on the paper, right? How do you place the paper/punch so it all aligns up? Just curious.

rolla at staples

i just found your site and was looking for a binder at my local staples when i found the junior rolla. it was the perfect size and perfect price $5.99. after looking at the circa stuff last night, i knew i did not want to spend that much money. i asked the salesman if they had a punch and he said no, but he had an idea. he took me to the rolodex section and said they have a business card punch for rolodex that makes similar shaped holes. Well that punch actually in the in the clearance center for 50 cents, so i bought two. The holes are the same distance apart as the rolla and fit on the rolla, but you can only punch two at a time. but i spend under $10 for the whole thing so i am very happy!

I cannot wait to find those covers in my area. The nearest Staples is approx an hour away ... but those plum covers are so tempting!

Things got hectic and I forgot to look for my camera.

But here they are: http://www.flickr.com/photos/thekamzone/sets/721576231467001...

I have to find a few things like the discs and pull the punch from the shelf it is on but Pearl Art went out of business here and Tampa. Which is the cause of my office space looking more like an art store than anything else.

This was a big surpise to me.
I asked if they are going to carry more products like this....paper,re-fills, and accessories.

THANK YOU THANK YOU!!

I had to sign up for an account here simply to thank lauriebelle and everyone else who got this ball rolling. I have been searching for a Rolla/Circa punch in the Seattle area for WEEKS, fruitlessly... but when I saw Laurie's post I decided to try calling the Spokane, WA Staples and they said they had the punches and that they could ship-to-store to any other Staples location.

I did the same thing, went to my local Staples store and after they looked at me quizzically for a bit they found the right paperwork, called up the store and it was no problem. Should be getting it in a few days.

THANKS TO ALL!! Happy new year! :)

I'd avoid rollabind.com.

I'd avoid rollabind.com.

Locally, Staples carries the letter and junior size 'leather' notebooks, pocket dividers, lined refills and to-do refills. I keep hoping they will carry disks and plastic covers, but no dice so far. I'm in Ohio, btw.

Rolla - Staples Success

Thank you so much for providing these numbers - after talking to a few Staples associates in Florida and Nevada, I was finally able to order the Rolla punch with a 10% off coupon down at my local store.

Because it was a store transfer (and a $50 item), shipping was free, so final price, including tax, was something like $44.xx.

Caveats - If you want to order this way, you'll need the SKU, which is 807-295. It's listed as an old stock number (which is why you can't buy it online?). That made finding it a bit complicated - we called one store that supposedly had three and the mgr couldn't find them. Then I mentioned it was a Rolla punch and that helped the mgr at the next store locate the stock (apparently they're not stocked with the other paper punches?).

Anyway, ordered Saturday night, got it today, nice piece of equipment! Very sturdy - could use it as a weapon against intruders as well as disorganization.

Again, thanks to everyone for providing their two cents here - I loaded up one in the cart at Levenger, but kept balking at the price after shipping (getting up toward $7x). This was an awesome solution and I can't wait to assemble my journal/notebook/end-all!

Staples Rollabind Surprise

Stopped in Staples last week and went down their notebook aisle, which always contained the same limited and sleepy assortment of their Rollabind products, which they carry under their own name of "Rolla". The selection had always been limited to letter-size notebooks in black, classic-size notebooks in black and tan, and two sizes of the punched notepaper (letter and classic). That was always it.

Imagine my surprise when I saw the new complete display of products that took at least a third of the shelving on one side of the aisle. Looked almost like all the Circa pages in the Levenger catalog, but at a quarter of the price. The stuff included (among other things):

- pre-assembled notebooks with paper as before but in more colors
- just the notebook covers in a variety of fashion colors
- the disks sold separately in black, fashion and metallic colors
- more varieties of punched paper in different sizes (note, Cornell note, graph, to-do, project, etc., etc.)
- compact-size address books
- punched refills for the address books sold separately
- punched plastic dividers
- punched slash pockets
- punched elongated task pads
- ***** THE DESKTOP PUNCH *****
- ***** THE CARD PUNCH *****
- and on, and on, and on

The appearance, weight and quality of the desktop punch look identical to Levenger.
The covers are in vinyl and not in leather, but the prices are great (separate covers are $7.99, disks are $4.99 for a package of 22 I believe).

The quality of everything looked great.

Thought you guys might like to know.
