Analog Facebook

The idea of fun networking like Facebook appeals to me but I'd prefer an analog approach.

I was browsing through Kikki-K [a paper and organiser addicts enabling shop :)] when I came across this interesting journal-come-guestbook http://www.kikki-k.com.au/cart.php?target=product&product_id...

It's called a 5-minute memory journal. The idea is to ask someone to write a brief friendly profile of themselves, including their likes and dislikes, into the journal.

Yes, it's a personal Analog Facebook Database! :)

I really like the idea. So now I just have to decide if I'm going to indulge myself and buy one of these or DIY it. (The good quality of the Kikki-K journal's printing and binding it makes it very tempting to buy).

So what do you think? Would this appeal to you?
Or would you prefer the electronic version?
