this site is my foundation in sanity many days... I love to give back in any way I can.

I have a few other ideas for templates rolling around in my brain. funniest part is I don't use a classic sized anything at the current moment but when I switch back, I'll use these... lol

ps... my boss can resemble another animal so perhaps he is drawn to the zoo here in the art department ::snicker::

Sara

I love it :-)

There goes my morning schedule already. I cant possibly get to work till I print off some new notes pages to use. And I agree about the grid, it shouldn't overpower the writing space.

You have started something here, watch out.

And I dont want to freak you but have you thought maybe your boss likes hyenas????????

Ta much

i love it! i'm a hyena... i laugh obnoxiously at inopportune times! actually i dance around like an idiot once a day and it summons my boss. seriously he walks in on my 10 second elaine-esque full body dry heave every time.

i will work on the paw print :)

light

i will tweak it :) i don't have a printer so I just use my previous experiences of contrast manipulation to guide me ... i did want it to be subtle but too light is not good :)

as far as manipulating contrast on your end, you would need a photo editing type program that allows you to work on pdf files. I believe GIMP and ArtWeaver both allow it and are free :)

EDIT:
two new versions available! one noted as dkr (darker) and one with a bear paw motif instead of the floral. Please note that I didn't go crazy dark with the grid since it is meant to aid not overpower :)

I like it...

Sara

I really nice template. You said you wanted ideas but are also very busy so I feel a bit guilty mentioning it now. But what the heck...

I love the informal style and the grid but I'm just not a floral type of gal. As my alter ego is in fact a bear, I wondered if there was some way of putting a paw print in the corner instead of the floral pattern?

Maybe not much use to the rest of the diyplanner crew but nothing ventured......

print too light....?

Hi, I love this template, so fun. However, even when the printer HP is set to high quality, it comes out too light. I can only very faintly see the grid. Is there anything I can do about this on my end? Thanks.

things continue to be hectic here. my job is consuming all my time and stamina. I am gaining another job's work-load without additional compensation and without losing any real aspects of my own. :sigh:

luckily - am nearing a happy level of organization again.

i blogged about it HERE if anyone is interested...

i sure do miss spending more time on the computer!

GIMP

Gimp has really improved in the latest revision. It is light-years ahead over the earlier editions. Its one, last major weakness, IMO, is lack of 16 bit support, which, for photographers, is essential, especially when dealing with RAW support, HDR and other things. But for a graphic tool, I have really come to enjoy it. (Maybe _I've_ changed more than Gimp?).

Sorry I don't have any template ideas, but what you did looks great! Oddly, it shows up sideways in my web browser, but I don't know if that's my browser tipping it to fit the screen, of if that's how you did the pdf. It's no big problem, but I had to turn my head sideways. ;-)

i forgot how agonizing getting a new computer set up was... lol.

i finally caved in and got GIMP. I highly recommend it for poor photoshop junkies. It is pretty easy to get used to :)

PLEASE let me know what you think about this style of form... also if anyone has anything they are looking for - i would love the practice!

Notes (floral or bear paw with grid)

Trying to get back into template design using Gimp and other freeware/shareware programs.

Notes page in classic (5.5 by 8.5 inch)

Subtle grayscale grid present along with floral motif... should be light enough to allow writing to overlap and not be bothersome.

edit: now available in a darker version (dkr) and bear paw motif version :)
