Engineering Inspection Industry - the idea is that is is always carried in overall / shirt pockets or in tool boxes, it should be water proof

i'm not too worried about the cover i guess and durable material, but the pages themselves like u suggested do need to be water proof, i think printed on paper with vinyl lamination would be cheaper than printing on sheets of vinyl?

One thing i didn't mention is that the binder must open to allow users to update and add their own pages.

Hi, if I understand your project correctly, try Googling "poly stock" or 'poly cover stock' and see what you get. look for the mm thickness you want

one thing about poly, if the users will put these in shirt pockets, round the corners. Poly can be sharp

if you dont know what mm you want, go to any office supply, look in school supply section for notebooks with poly covers and sometimes it will tell you the mil thickness. Or look at file cases.

poly is waterproof; the inside pages if you want them to be water proof also, consider printing on thin sheets of vinyl and then handsew along whichever seam you choose. Talk to a printer about water proof inksand materials to print on. I have two tiny manuals, one on building roads and another on chemistry tables that have 'no tear' covers that are similar to leatherette. the pages are printed on paper and then laminated with a thin mil vinyl or latex stock that is bendable in the extreme.

If I were doing this, I would consider the type of industry so as to avoid materials inappropriate to the work environment.

hi, i am putting together a publication 3" x 5" pocket book with either top or side bindings and vinyl covers. the idea being an industrial pocket reference manual made with durable materials. can anyone help me source these materials?
