Followup -- went shopping today

Scored several clearance goodies @ the Levenger Store (Junior Zip Folio for $30)

And I can now say with authority that the TrueWriter Highlighter refills work in the WoodCraft pencil -- I expected they would. They both use 5.6mm lead

I guess it is a choice between wanting to do a lot of highlighting in one color (TrueWriter) VS doing a lot of highlighting in many colors (Pentel)

I, too, love the look and the idea of the Levenger TrueWriter.

But I was browsing a local bookshop and came across the Pentel Bible Highlighter...you can see it here

Site description: The highlighter recommended by many professional Bible teachers. This amazingly engineered mechanical pencil provides eight distinctive colors which can easily and quickly be changed with a twist of the clip. Colors include red, blue, green, brown, orange, pink, sky blue, and yellow.

This pencil has been riding in my pocket or bag every day since I bought it. The colors are a cross between the Crayon Twist pens and a colored pencil. The colors are bright, and refills are easily available.

Someday I'll get a TrueWriter, but for now I'm completely happy with my many colors!

I have one of these pencils and I will be within arm's reach of a Levenger retail store on Friday.

The WoodCraft catalog lists "Art/Woodworker's Pencil Colored Lead, Assorted". I called the local store and found out that the packaging totally hides what is in it.

Will the levenger highlighter refills fit in it? I have been looking for a dry high lighter, I'm sick of all my gel pens smearing.
