Let your local printer do the work

I've had the Circa punch for a few years now and use it all the time.

As far as the paper goes, if you take a ream of 8 1/2 x 11 stock into any neighborhood print shop they can cut it down to any size you want, cheap, too - probably around a dollar a cut. They can even drill the notebook holes for you if you're using a ringed binder. Just take a sample of the paper you're trying to match and let them do their thing.

It works great. I have a terrible old inkjet at home--the little bits of paper don't cause any problems. And of course it sails through laser printers.

It's really good paper stock; that probably helps.

Printing on Prepunched Paper

Please post the results of printing on prepunch paper, I'd be concerned about the paper tags getting "crunched" as the paper proceeds through the printer.

Rollabind punches

You can use Rollabind punches to make Circa paper. For instance, at wilde-ideas.com, the regular punch is ~$60, a travel one ~$30. Still expensive, but you get the freedom of punching your own paper.

Thank you and HURRAY!

It IS the right paper! I've been asking for, seriously, years--why don't you carry this anymore? They said um. Same thing they said when they discontinued the day-per-page with their original design.

Anyway, I am the proud owner of blank sheets. With the templates here, Acrobat et al, I am newly unleashed upon an unsuspecting world.

Again, thanks for the tip.

For anyone who might care in the future--the Levenger website is allergic to this paper, and it sometimes will say it doesn't exist, even if you have the item number. Just call them. They don't know why that happens either.

simplicity with a paper cutter

I also just trim off the 1/4 inch extra with a small paper cutter from Staples. A ruler and really sharp exacto knife also works. Purchased the portable circa punch and love it.

Circa junior paper is like the Holy Grail

I've been looking for a solution for this since they stopped selling blank paper (years ago). Circamagine is bigger, and $20 for 60 sheets is a bit much, especially when only 20 of those sheets are blank. The others are grid and ruled.

They include the cover and rings and dividers, but all I really want is the blank sheets. I think Rollabind is the only way to go, if you don't buy the $80 punch and cut your own paper. (sigh)

I'm still hopeless at using

I'm still hopeless at using a paper cutter, so I've started to use 5x8 index card. The fit the junior perfectly (just slightly smaller than the "offical" pages, so I keep my printouts in the front and put the junior-sized paper in the back).

Unless things have changed at Levenger

they have a circa punch that's not horribly expensive (yeah, they have an EXPENSIVE one too!), and you might check with Jonathon Hart at 800/357-9991 ex 3571 (um - this info from 2002....) in the Corporate Sales dept. to see if they could provide punched Junior paper for you without charging an arm and a leg. I have had nothing but the best experience possible when dealing with Levenger....

If you're trying to do your own without the circa punch, just about the only way to even come close is to use only one hole of a rolodex punch (which requires buying one of the real cheap plastic ones and using a fine-toothed saw to cut it down to a "one-holer"). Believe me, your hand will be dead before you get enough paper punched.... and it still won't line up quite right....

Simplicity

I came across this web site earlier this month and decided to resurrect an old Levenger Jr Circa binder for this system. It works quite well. Here is what I have done. I print out the two up 8.5 by 5.5 cut them in half and then trim the quarter inch off the bottom. A decent paper cutter makes this easy. It's also been posted elsewhere here that you can go to Kinko's and they will cut the paper for you. (It doesn't get much easier :-). I've used A5 before back when using the Time Design system, but it seems far easier and more economical today to do the above.

Circa lends itself well for this planner.

A lot like A5

This sounds a lot like A5 paper. This page on international paper sizes suggests that A5 is closer to 8 1/4" x 5 7/8", but you'll have to see for yourself if it's a close-enough match. You could buy A4 (which is apparently available in American office supply places, but not easy to find) and get it cut in half to make A5.

You may also want to try Rollabind for blank paper and supplies as well.

Using Levenger Junior Circa

I was hoping to get some advice on using a levenger junior circa. The problem is that the size (8 1/4" x 5 5/8") is close to, but not the same as the classic size planner (8.5 x 5.5).

Levenger doesn't seem to sell blank junior pages. Any ideas on if anyone else sells this size of paper. I tried cutting my own pages, but it wasn't pretty.
