I think you would have better luck if you go to the blog and ask your question about the XML file
Can I modify?

I downloaded your xml and started to modify it, but then realized I don't have a clue how to. I'd love to keep my 10 year journals in DECADES -- so 2000-2009, 2010-2019, etc. (I can go back through my disorganized journals to fill in history.)

Can you do one for the current DECADE, even though it's almost over? Or tell me how I might accomplish that?

Thanks for the creation!

$$$'s for DIY ?

Why not take the price-to-create, add a small extra bit, and direct it to the continuing upkeep of this website ?

I'd buy one for myself and consider it as thoughtful gifts.

Can we lulu this?

Good job on the calendar. I want to make one for my Mom for Christmas. I'd like to stick it up on lulu.com, I'd put it up as a free / "I gets no cash" book that anyone could buy. I'd need your permission to do that, or if you wanted to put it up on lulu (in a spiral bound 8.x10 format ;-) I'd buy one and make you a few cents.

What a coincidence - I was looking for this!!

Several years ago I worked for the Norm Thompson catalog - one of our items was these ten-year journals, which I haven't seen since, and Norm Thompson has since sold. I was googling in search of the journal, and found that there was a ten-year journal on my new favorite website! Very, very cool! I'm thinking about printing these on nice paper for family members as Christmas gifts! Thank you so much! You've done a lovely job with this concept. Vicki

What is the use of *any* journal?

I describe some of it in the blog post.

It's a great way to keep a journal because the time commitment is small, so it's easier to keep current.

It's also good because it lets you keep ten years of history in one volume.

The best part of it is that it cuts a cross section through your past, letting you easily look back year after year and see how things have changed in your life.

If you don't like to journal, don't bother with it. But if you do like keeping a record, this is the format that finally got me to journal consistently.

I've thought of keeping one of these, and really wish I'd started one when my daughter was born. But better late than never!

Thanks

This looks like an appropriate place to post this...

If you like to make your own notebooks, and you have considered buying a ten year journal in the past, you might be interested in my Ten Year Journal PDF file. I recently finished it and printed my own for the upcoming year, so I thought I would share the file with anyone who was interested.

You can find it on my blog here: http://crueltown.com/wordpress/?p=168
